Sew What? Say What?

Some people collect sewing machines, some people fix sewing machines. Some people collect sewing machines so they can fix sewing machines.

Everybody Plays

Everybody plays. Even birds play. Here you see a game, we call it "knock off". I don't know what the gulls call it, but it goes like this:
The gulls find a desired perch, and one gull occupies it.
Another gull comes along, usually from behind, and pushes the first gull off, then that gull occupies the desired perch.
The first gull flies away, or flies around in a wide circle to play the game again.

Here you see the third in the series getting into position to push the current occupant off the perch. Notice the feet are slightly down, in a landing position. Actually, what will probably happen is that the third gull will push the feet forward into the other gull's backside, pushing them off.

Knock off can occupy several hours of the day in a gull world. But like I said, everybody plays. We could speculate as to the human equivalent of the game shown here, if we wanted to. But I'll leave that to your imagination.

Have a fun day at work.

HeY! Glad to hear my post about the Schacht orifice was helpful. Start with some 320- or 400-grit wet/dry sandpaper wrapped around a small piece of doweling and you should be able to smooth down all the rough spots. To polish it after you've removed the burrs, use a piece of 600-grit paper.

Remember, the higher the number the finer the grit. For the smoothest finish, start with 320, then go to 400, then to 600.

Good luck! --Lorrie
